Acorn class 14th September 2018
News from week beginning 10th September
What a fabulous first full week in Acorn Class this week.
In phonics the Year One children revised digraphs that they learnt last year and in Reception the children learnt ‘s’, ‘a’ and ‘t’.
In English we enjoyed using our senses to explore different objects and we went on a senses walk around the school grounds. The Year One children wrote wonderful senses poems and the Reception children practised writing their names and enjoyed activities to develop their fine motor skills.
In Maths the children practised counting to 10 with the Year One children counting forwards and backwards; touch counting; number formation and the concept of more and less with the Year One children comparing numbers of objects.
