Thornford Maths and Science Week
We had a brilliant Maths and Science week which included lots of parents and visitors talking to the children about how they use maths in their jobs, including: Construction, Veterinary Science, Airline Pilot, Naval officer, Engineer and Underwater engineering. Binny Bennet also taught the children about fractals in nature using tree branches and fibonacci sequences using sunflowers. The Mad Science team of Super Sian and Electric Eddie kept us mesmerised with their Science workshops using rockets and slime! Thank you to all who were involved for your support with this week- the children found it very inspiring.
