Acorn class 8th September 2017
News from week beginning 4th September
What a fabulous first week of school for the Reception children and first week back for the Year One children!
We had a lovely circle time session where each child held our cuddly teddy and told the others their name and their favourite thing from their Summer break. The other children listened really well to the child holding the teddy each time. On Friday the Year One children wrote a postcard about their Summer break and this is proudly on display already!
The children came up with their own ideas for class rules – please see our main photo for our gorgeous Class Charter display. They played Maths games on the interactive TV and lots of children’s choice activities, such as role play area, Lego and colouring in.
The new children were so well behaved during their first two collective worships – sitting and listening beautifully. Their first PE session was super too, with them driving imaginative cars and moving in different gears around the field (then around the hall, due to the rain!).
All the children have made some lovely new friends and had a happy first week back. Well done children (and parents!)!
Enjoy your weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week
