beech class 20th January 2017
What have we been up to this week?
We’ve had a great week in Beech Class. We have written descriptions of Little Red Riding Hood’s Grandma and the setting for the story using some amazing expanded noun phrases and excellent punctuation and spelling. In Maths, we’ve been using coins for addition and multiplication as well as ordering them by value. In Art, we have been looking at examples of Charles Rennie Macintosh’s designs for fabric using stylised roses and tulips. We used these as the inspiration for our own designs using black felt tip outlines and oil pastels after developing our ideas in our sketch books. You can see one of our amazing pieces of art at the top of this post. Can you guess who the artist is?
