Our exciting Dorchester Museum trip

On Tuesday, 15th Novemeber, Elm class visited the Dorset County Museum. When we got there, we were given some exciting news. It turned out that ‘Dippy’, the very famous Diplodocus which resides in the National History Museum in London is going on tour soon and will be visiting the Dorset County Museum in early 2018! The BBC were at the museum to record a short news segment about this and wanted our wonderful children to feature in this news item! It very exciting and the children really enjoyed being involved, lucky us! After the filming had finished, we carried on with our Roman tour. We really enjoyed looking at the various Roman artefacts and learning all about the impact of the Ancient Romans in our local area. We finished our eventful trip with a tour of the Roman town house. It was fantastic to see the remains and imagine how everything would have looked and sounded all those years ago! The children represented the school brilliantly and it was an all in all superb trip! Elm class are looking forward to telling you all about it in our class assembly on the 25th of November.
