Our Autumn leaves poems
Recently in Elm class, we all went outside to play in the leaves. We threw (very carefully!) the leaves into the cold air and watched how they moved down to the ground and around us. We observed how they danced to our feet and heard how they crackled beneath us. We thought about everything we could see, hear, smell and feel. We then put this fun experience into the form of a poem. The children thought of some fantastic descriptions and created some powerful similes. We hope to share this work in our upcoming class assembly. Please see our gallery to see the children’s happy faces during this lesson!
