beech class 7th October 2016
What have we been up to this week?
We’ve had a very busy week again with lots of learning and fun. We really enjoyed performing our Harvest poem at the Harvest festival in church today. We hope you enjoyed listening to it. Each line of the poem contained an ‘expanded noun phrase’ to make it extra interesting for the audience, and we ended with an exclamation sentence. A very grammatical poem!
On Wednesday, we undertook some Geography fieldwork, following a route around the village and spotting objects along the way. We plotted our routes on aerial photographs upon our return to the classroom. In Maths this week, we have been working with number bonds: pairs of numbers that equal a specific total. We used our ten frames and place value apparatus to help us investigate.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
