beech class 23rd March 2018
What have we been learning recently?
It has been an exciting few weeks in Beech. We followed up our experience of a Victorian school day with a great trip to the Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury. Here the children handled real Victorian artifacts, created rag rugs and learnt how to make drop scones on a range. They also discovered more about farming and life in the workhouse. Thank you to the parents who accompanied us.
In class, we have been concentrating on fractions and investigating fractions of amounts as well as shapes. We are still working on quarters using our growth mindsets to help!
There are no new spellings this week, but they will be given out next week, to learn over the holiday.
