beech class 15th September 2017
What have we been learning this week?
It’s been another busy week in Beech Class. We’ve started learning about the Great Fire of London and have practised using capital letters, full stops and finger spaces in our writing about Samuel Pepys and a picture of the fire. The Year 1 children have used ten frames to work with numbers to ten and twenty and the Year 2 children have been using a variety of apparatus to work on their place value understanding. We enjoyed using the atlases to identify the countries that make up the United Kingdom and everyone produced work of a high standard.
We have all tried logging in to our Active Learn accounts and all children should be able to access their homework maths games via the details sent home on a bookmark today. We have also sent spelling test books home so that the children can show their families how well they did in the test. Please could the spelling test books (blue), spelling folders and homework folders be brought back to school by next Friday, ready for the test and latest spelling/homework sheets.
