beech class 26th May 2017
What have we been up to this week?
We’ve had a great week in Beech Class. This week, we continued to work on our 3D planets, using small pieces of tissue paper to collage them and build up stripes and patterns. The final stage will be to add any rings or attach moons, before we hang them in the classroom. We have also used the research we did at home and at school to help us write an information text on space. As a special reward for our hard work, we also wrote a report on a subject of our of choice. In maths, we have worked on some fractions brainteasers every morning and used our knowledge of numbers to help us pick the odd one out of a set, and to explain our ideas. In phonics, we have really enjoyed using the free games on the Spellzone website to help us with difficult spellings. The address is copied into the notes section of the words the children took home today.
Have a great half term everyone!
