beech class 3rd February 2017
What have we been up to this week?
In History, we’ve been investigating the tragic story of the Titanic and have enjoyed finding out more about this apparently ‘unsinkable’ ship. We used this historical knowledge to help us write an imaginary newspaper report set in 1912, or the diary of a survivor. We will be displaying all our work in the cloakroom area when it’s complete and will post some pictures on the website too. In Maths, we have been working on doubling and halving. We have also been counting in different multiples and applying this knowledge to times tables questions and reasoning about multiples. We will be testing this knowledge and understanding next week. In RE, we deepened our understanding of what Christians believe about God and how He wants them to behave. We really enjoyed creating an origami heart with a hidden message inside, reflecting the way that parables are stories with a message hidden inside them.
