What have we been up to this week?
Beech class have been investigators this week. As part of our topic on the local area, we visited the church, accompanied by Reverend Gilbert. He was able to tell us more about the history of the building and some of the artefacts it contains. We built on our scientific work by looking at the materials used to make different objects, and thought about the properties of the materials that made them suitable for purpose. We also saw the war memorial and roll of honour, which built on our knowledge of Remembrance. We have been creating guide books to the church, using our amazing writing skills, and hope to share them with other classes next week.
In Maths, we have been working really hard on number bonds to 10, 20 and 100 and enjoyed some enthusiastic rounds of Number Bond Challenge.
Enjoy the weekend everyone!
